Slow living as a cure for writer’s block✍️. Written by Keren Obara.

Writer’s block is one of the dreaded things an author can face. A pen is a wand, and the words of a writer always create some sort of magic. So, when the pen is gone, the wand is gone. The magic still exists, waiting to be expressed.

Writer’s block is burnout, caused by the fast moving world we live in.

There is pressure to move quickly and achieve everything early.

Fast living and writing ✍️ are juxtapositions against each other.

Writing requires:

  1. Intuition

  2. A calm mind

Intuition is drowned out in the world of ‘get things quick’.

In the science of writing, each word is a molecule. To make a masterpiece, a lot of thought should be applied to a manuscript.

Such is the paradox of the 21st Century writer. Fast world, slow art.

This is one of the reasons slow living is becoming popular. Cutting out the things that do not matter, and focusing on minimalism.

I have found that these are the cures of writer’s block for me.
